E-cigarettes and vaping were originally a tastier way to quit smoking than chewing gum with nicotine lacing, hypnosis, or sticking nicotine patches on the upper arms.
However, what began as a substitute for smoking has since developed its own completely independent culture and identity, and vaping is now very common. And while tobacco smoking has been deliberately portrayed as a ‘bad habit’ to be discouraged, UK MPs are actively calling for e-cigarette rules to be relaxed as it is acceptable in more places.
